Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or Dementia can sometimes be overwhelming. If you have a loved one in your family or a friend who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, we invite you to join us!! At our monthly meetings, we will discuss special communications skills, provide resources, speakers and solutions to difficult situations. In an effort to reimagine what a support group looks like, We want to create a gathering for caregivers and their companions with memory loss. These events encourage people with dementia and their caregivers to engage with others in their community. Isolation and a lack of socialization can lead to memory loss and brain changes. We directly address this issue with our caregiver/companion outings. We encourage caregivers to be social and reassure them that outings can be fun and not stressful.
