Program Description: The Office for Aging (OFA) Mini-Bus is a curb-to-curb shared ride bus service for those age 60 and over who live in Broome County’s urban core. Serves areas within 3/4 mi of BC Transit fixed route bus service, which includes much of Binghamton, Johnson City, Endicott, Endwell, and Vestal. Can be used to travel to medical appointments, grocery stores, hairdressers, restaurants, and many other places a senior may wish to go. Must have an OFA ID card to ride this bus. An ID card application may be obtained by contacting the Broome County Office for Aging at (607) 778-2411. A reservation by phone (call (607) 763-8747) or online must be made in advance. No fee for this service. A suggested contribution of $1.50 per one-way ride helps to offset the cost of the service. No one will be denied a ride due to inability to contribute. OFA Mini-Bus operates Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
