Program Description: The center offers daily hot lunch, health and wellness programs, Medicare D Enrollment help, and an array or recreational activities. In 2005, HCS launched a program called Social Adult Day Care (SADC) for Chinese-speaking elderly to assist frail and physically challenged elderly, who would otherwise be home-bound to participate in senior center activities. SADC seniors are provided round-trip transportation from their homes to the HCS senior center where they participate in arts and crafts, physical therapy sessions, music instruction, life story sessions and other activities in a bilingual and bi-cultural supportive setting.
